Any boy or girl in 6th grade through 8th grade who is enrolled in our parish school or in our Religious Education program is welcome to become an altar server (sometimes called "acolyte") at St. John's.

Training for altar servers usually occurs toward the end of the fifth grade, although transfer students may be trained at other times.

The opportunity for boys and girls to participate personally and directly in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is a great honor and a great responsibility. We are very grateful to the parents of these boys and girls for encouraging them to undertake this beautiful service.
