"Make disciples of all nations baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." - Matthew 28: 19-20
Baptism is the sacrament which is the basis of the whole Christian life. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ's Body, the Church, and made sharers in His mission.
Adults who wish to be baptized are asked to prepare for that sacrament by participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) which is part of the Religious Education program at St. John's.
Parents of infants and young children (up to age six) who wish to have their child baptized should contact the rectory and set up an appointment. For baptism at St. John's, parents must be registered parishioners. Baptisms usually occur after the 12:30pm Mass on Sunday.
